Where Austin riders launch
Lake Travis is the main one. Big water, deep coves, and enough room to open a jetboard up. Best in the morning before the wind and the party barges arrive.
Lake Austin is calmer, greener, and no-wake in stretches — which is exactly the argument for an electric board. You are silent and you leave no wake, so you fit where boats do not.
Lake LBJ and Lake Marble Falls for riders out toward Horseshoe Bay and the Hill Country.
Decker Lake and Lake Bastrop if you are east side and want something close and quiet.
A note on Lady Bird Lake: motorized craft are not permitted there. It gets asked constantly. We will not ride it and neither should you.
Your dock. If you have Travis or Austin frontage, that is the best version of this. Send the address when you book.
Why this works better than a boat in Austin
- No ramp, no slip, no marina waitlist. Austin storage costs what it costs. A board lives in your garage.
- No wake and no noise. The no-wake zones that make Lake Austin frustrating in a boat are irrelevant on an electric board.
- You can go alone. No driver, no spotter, no coordinating four people for a 6 a.m. session.
- It fits in an SUV. Drive to whichever lake actually has water that week.
- Charges off a normal outlet. No fuel dock, no oil, no winterizing.
What you will ride
Awake RAVIK — electric jetboard. Up to 35 mph across the surface, silent. Most riders stand inside twenty minutes.
Awake VINGA — eFoil. Lifts onto a hydrofoil and flies above the water. Harder to learn, impossible to describe, best on Travis before the wind comes up.
Wave-Vo — electric watercraft, available in Texas through Divine Voltage.
Ride both in one session. They are genuinely different machines.
Buying in Austin
You can order an Awake from anywhere. The difference is what happens afterward: we are a certified Awake service center in Texas, so warranty work, battery service, and parts do not mean crating your board to another state. We are an hour down I-35 from downtown Austin.

Do you come to Austin, or do I come to you?
We come to you. Pick the lake or send us your dock address.
Can I ride on Lady Bird Lake?
No. Motorized watercraft are prohibited. Lake Austin or Travis instead.
What about low water on Travis?
Low levels close ramps and change where we launch, but they barely affect us — we carry the board in from shore. That is one of the real advantages here.
Can a beginner learn in one session?
On the jetboard, almost always. On the eFoil, expect to be up on foil in one to three sessions.
What time should I book?
Morning. Travis gets wind and boat chop by midday in summer.
