Electric Jetboards in Texas

Awake RÄVIK Explore electric jetboard riding across flat water in Texas

Ride an electric jetboard in Texas

An electric jetboard is a surfboard with a jet drive built into it. No wave. No tow rope. No boat. You lie down, squeeze a wireless throttle, stand up, and go — up to 35 mph across flat water with almost no sound and no wake behind you.

Divine Voltage is a Texas electric jetboard dealer based in New Braunfels. We carry Awake electric surfboards and eFoils out of Sweden, and we are the exclusive Texas partner for Wave-Vo electric watercraft. We are not a rental counter and we are not a lesson shop. We sell boards, and we put you on one first so you know exactly what you are buying.

Jetboard or eFoil — which one do you actually want?

People use the words interchangeably. They are different machines.

A jetboard stays on the surface of the water. It feels like snowboarding on a lake. The learning curve is short — most first-timers are riding standing up inside twenty minutes — and it handles chop, boat wake, and crowded water without drama. If you ride with family, on a busy Texas lake, on a Saturday, this is the board.

An eFoil rises up on a hydrofoil wing and flies about two feet above the surface. It is silent, weightless, and genuinely strange the first time. It also takes longer to learn and prefers calm water early in the morning.

We sell both. Ride both on the same afternoon and pick the one that made you laugh out loud.

Where we ride

We are Hill Country based and we come to the water. Demos run on Canyon Lake, the Guadalupe, Lake LBJ, Lake Travis, Lake Austin, and private waterfront across the New Braunfels, San Marcos, Seguin, Boerne, and San Antonio corridor. If you have a dock, we will bring the boards to it.

Why electric

  • Silent. You can hold a conversation while riding. Neighbors on the lake will not hear you.
  • No wake. Legal and welcome in no-wake zones where a boat is not.
  • No fuel, no oil, no winterizing. Charge it in a garage outlet.
  • One person, one trailer-free load. A jetboard fits in the back of an SUV. No boat ramp, no launch fee, no crew.
  • Minutes to water. Unload, drop it in, ride. No thirty-minute rigging routine.

Buying a jetboard in Texas — what to know

Ride before you buy. A jetboard is a serious purchase and the difference between models is something you feel in your feet, not something you read on a spec sheet. Battery range, board volume, and top speed all read fine on paper and feel completely different on the water.

Service matters more than price. These are sealed electric drivetrains with lithium packs. Buying from an out-of-state website means shipping a board across the country when something needs attention. We are in New Braunfels and we service what we sell.

Frequently asked questions

How fast does an electric jetboard go?

Top speeds run in the 30–35 mph range depending on model, rider weight, and water conditions. Most riders spend their first sessions well below that and still describe it as the fastest they have felt on water.

How long does the battery last?

Expect roughly 20–40 minutes of ride time per battery depending on model and how hard you ride it. Riders who spend full days on the water typically run a second battery and rotate.

Do I need a boating license to ride one in Texas?

Texas requires boater education for operators born on or after September 1, 1993 to operate certain motorized watercraft. Rules vary by craft and by water body. We walk you through what applies to your situation before you ride.

Can a beginner ride one?

Yes. Most first-timers are riding on their knees within a few minutes and standing inside twenty. We coach the whole first session.

Is it hard to transport?

No trailer and no boat ramp required. A jetboard loads into an SUV or truck bed and launches from any shoreline with a few feet of water.

Do you offer demos before purchase?

Always. We do not sell a board to anyone who has not stood on one first.
